US Emisari for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, has called Prime Minister Albin Kurti's decision to carry 24 hectares owned by the Decani Monastery positive.
Although Kurti has argued that this decision has taken Kosovo to be accepted in the Council of Europe, Escobar for Radio Free Europe has said there are two other conditions.
“Now, there are two other conditions that the Council of Europe had mentioned and that some European countries are looking for. One is... [has to do] with some actions for expropriations taking place in the north. And the other one is the Association”, Escobar said.
He has stressed that with the decision on the Decani Manual, maturity was shown that constitutional decisions are accepted even when they are populist.
