The prime minister's office has announced the yesterday meeting of Prime Minister Albin Kurti with US Special Envoy for the Western Balkans Gabriel Escobar and Ambassador Jeffrey Havenier.

ZKM says that remembering the last meeting they had together from October last year, the prime minister thanked Escobar for the visit and spoke of developments that have marked those five months.

The prime minister thanked Escobar for his and his contribution and the United States of America and said the successes of Kosovo and its people are shared successes with the United States of America”, the report said.

Meanwhile, regarding Central Bank regulations, the ZKM says Kurti had content discussions and focused on addressing common concerns.

He said the Central Bank's decision is the decision of an independent and professional institution. Due to the impact of regulation on the Kosovo Serb community, the government has taken actions to ensure that the transition is quick and easy for Kosovo citizens from the Serb community”.

The statement later said that “in this direction the prime minister also stressed proposals that have been presented for the transition period, and offered co-operation in quick addressing all concerns that fall into government competencies.

Prime Minister Kurti also said the attack on Zvecan deputy chairman Natasa Tomanic should be condemned.

“Sulmi is the continuation of Serbia's threats to Kosovo security following the September 24th terrorist and paramilitary attack in Banjsk where Kosovo Police Sergeant Africa Bunnjak was killed, while leaders are still at large and protected in Serbia”.

At the meeting, the prime minister was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diasporas Donika Grovalla and Finance, Labour and Transfers Minister Hekuran Murati. /
