Progress Gruda from Major Opposition Subject The PDK has said the government did not take into account a Constitutional Court's act on this law.

The “government has put into effect the provisions that determine that the lower and medium-level management positions would not be subject to mandates by 4 years, contrary to the Constitutional Court Act, which had determined that the appointments to those positions prior to the introduction of the basic Law to public officials did not submit to their appointment by mandate, but held their jobs according to actions that have taken place”, it has, among other things.

The adoption of this law today by the Government has also rejected the AAK, saying this law as such poses a danger to democracy.

Full Response of PDK:

Today, the government has adopted the Bill on Change and Fulfilling of Law No. 08/L-197 for public officials, contrary to the Act on cases of KO 216/22 and KO 220/22 of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo.
The government has put in effect the provisions specifying that the lower and medium-level management positions would be four-year mandated, contrary to the Constitutional Court Act, which had determined that the appointments in these positions before the introduction of the basic Law to public officials were not subject to mandates, but held their jobs according to their appointments.
This is a new phase of violating the Constitution of Kosovo by the Government, where even after the Constitutional Court ruling, unconstitutional provisions are included in the law.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo will not allow this arbitrators.
