Conjufca “nervous” with Escobar: She couldn't reach an agreement on the dinar, she put Kosovo on several criteria we've surpassed for membership in the KiE

Kosovo Parliament Speaker Glauk Konjufca voiced confidence that there are no other conditions for Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe, even though the US Special Envoy for the Western Balkans Gabriel Escofca stressed that to membership Kosovo in this international body must meet two other conditions, the establishment of the Serb Major Commission Association and expropriations in the north.

“There were three conditions at the September 2023 session, Association, expropriations and Decani Monastery. Following numerous discussions between the parliamentary groups of the Council of Europe assembly itself has come to the conclusion that they will be removed. For drilling in the North we've cleared up. As far as association is concerned, it is in the Ohrid Agreement. What Escobar said to me was something strange, which only Mr. Escobar” added, Konjufca said during an interview on Kanal 10.

Meanwhile, the US diplomat's statement that Kosovo to membership in the KiE of “should establish the Association of Serb-based municipalities”, Konjufca says it came after Escobar failed to convince Prime Minister Albin Kurti to give up the decision to prevent the use of the dinar in Serb-run municipalities.
