One Charged for Terrorism, Four Another Declared Innocent

These statements were made in the initial review Monday at the Constitutional Court in Pristina in the case where Liridon Beqiri, Besart Veseyaj, Ernes Beqiri, Silver Hoti and Altin Salihu are accused of pushing to carry out terrorist works. While Liridon Beqiri and Vesela are also accused of illegal weapons.

The accused Liridon Beqiri pleaded guilty after reading the indictment by special prosecutor Fikrije Feyzullahu.

Upon admitting the guilt of accused Liridon Beqiri, his protector, lawyer Veton Rrecaj, agreed. He said his protector, guilty plea, had done so with full will, in line with legal provisions.

Even prosecutor Feyzullahu did not object to the plea of the accused Liridon and was later approved by Judge Valbona Musliu- Selimaj,

Following the alleged defender Liridon Beqiri's proposal, procedures were set aside for the same one.

At this session, the defense of the accused proposed to the court that the accused be interrupted even the house arrest measure.

In this case, Judge Musliu- Selimaj said she will decide at the moment that the same are granted the deadline of the decision, with which they are under house arrest by 7 March.

While the defender of the accused Veseliaj, lawyer Sabrie Jashari proposed to the court that, as a witness in this trial, the accused Liridon Beqiri, who pleaded guilty, be heard together.

But, regarding this case, Judge Musliu- Selimaj said it will decide when the phase of the test proposal will be.

In the end, the judge set it for another date where the parties will be declared for circumstances affecting the appointment and conviction of the accused Liridon.

While for accused Veselay, Hoti, Salihu and accused Ernes Beqiri, announced they have the right to cast out the indictment and reject the evidence after not accepting the guilt.

According to the indictment set up on 24 January 2024, accused Liridon Beqiri, Besart Veselalaj, Ernes Beqiri, Arghend Hoti and Altin Salihu, from the unknown period of time and ongoing co-ordination, have distributed and enabled the conveying of messages to others in the conduct of terrorist acts.

The Actakuz says they met at the home of accused Liridon Beqiri in the village of Vitomirica in Peja and at the home of accused Besart Vesalaj in the village of Suhogrele in Istog, and have taken photos, videos with uniforms of warriors SIS and long arms firing, as well as in the studio of accused Liridon Beqiri “Moostdope film L. L. C”, where they modified and translated videos that have been distributed to the public in the “Youtube” named “Es Sunneh-Tv”.

According to the indictment, these videos present images of terrorists organisation' fighters “Islamic State - The ISIS” in which mass murder, executions and torture are seen against captured people, as well as calls for the commitment of jihad as my “Festa is Gihadi and its music are bullets flying over my head“, and many other texts with the same content through which the accused has promoted and conveyed messages to others in carrying out terrorist acts.

The indictment is said to have found and seized electronic devices with propagandistic material, which they have distributed to the public during house-control and escorts on May 15th, 2023.

With this, accused in co-ordination are accused of committing criminal work “Postponing on terrorist activity” by Article 134 regarding KPRK Article 31.

While, according to the second device of the indictment, accused Liridon Beqiri and Besart Veseyaj of unproven and ongoing date, they have held in ownership, control or unauthorized possession of weapons contrary to the applicable law.

According to the indictment, at the time and place described in the device under I of the indictment, during the enforcement of the magistrate's preliminary procedure's ordinance for the command-control of the accused's houses and escorts, weapons, ammunition, weapons equipment and other evidence have been found and seized.

The Actakuz says that at the home of accused Liridon Beqiri, a long AK-47 gun, a pistol, two-bitch clipper with Special Echo has been found and seized EVIB, part of the long gun, two knives, an AK-47 cartoon with four rounds of 7.62 mm, an air rifle, gas bullets, shelling and other material evidence, while accused Besart Vesele at his house were found and seized a gun-pistore, two knives and other material evidence.
