Journalist Vehbi Kajazi has said that today the Central Election Commission is expected to be voted for an illegal vote on the dismissal of four Albanian mayors in four northern municipalities.
Cateazi, in a Facebook text, said the vote is expected to take place today at the Central Election Commission meeting.
He said there are indicators that even the opposition will vote for.
The “at 13 o'clock of the 30 CEC is expected to vote for illegal voting for the dismissal of 4 Albanian mayors of Serb majority”, he said. “If the opposition votes for that, then know that there's nothing different from Albin Kurti. It's actually his "%s."
Albanian leaders were elected in April 2023, in elections that were boycotted by Serbs, as a sign of dissatisfaction with Kosovo Government policies.
The launch of their task sparked tensions at the end of May last year, which culminated in Zvecan after Serb protesters clashed with members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation's peacekeeping mission (NATO) in Kosovo KFOR.
The international community has called for lowering tensions and announcing new elections in four municipalities in northern Kosovo. The petition was also signed by representatives of the Serbian List, the party that boycotted the elections and removed its representatives from Kosovo institutions, prompting the removal of other Serbs.
