According to the BBC, a spokesperson for the Baltimore City Fire Department says the bridge collapsed on the Patapsco River after being hit by a ship in the early hours of the morning. [...]

According to the BBC, a spokesperson for the Baltimore City Fire Department says the bridge collapsed on the Patapsco River after being hit by a ship in the early hours of the morning.
He also said that “around seven people and several <x1) vehicles have fallen into the river.
A continuous rescue operation is currently under way with many agencies headed by the Fire Department, co-operating with US coast guards and other Maryland agencies.
There is still no record of possible casualties.
