The US has repeatedly said it would not support Rafah's promised invasion of Israel saw a clear plan by the Israeli government to protect more than a million displaced Palestinians who are currently sheltered there.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken says the American government has not yet seen such a plan.
“We need to see a plan that will bring civilians out of danger if there is a military operation, and not only to get them out of danger, but to ensure that they have shelter, food and medicines”, he said.
