“contraterates worth 209m euros make up one of the largest corrupt scandals in the country”, the chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdjiku, about the government's single-sourced tenders of Albin Kurti during his term.
“One-sourcer is direct communication with a business. That official from the Ministry selects a business that he thinks we've called them secret tenders. What we have started is the tip of the Aisberg of systematic corruption across Kosovo for the last three years and it is the removal of the curtain of a good installed corruption -- this is only the beginning of the investigative commission -- we will send the subjects to the Prosecutor. We've got a case from the KCPP from the data we've understood about the large scale of corrupt relatives”, Obadiah said.
The Kosovo Energy Corporation, according to Abijik, led 99m euros in single-source tenders, where only one company has received 13 times tender, without public calls.
“Jane 781 secret tenders, worth 209 million. For example, the Kosovo Energy Corporation 99m euros with secret tenders, 13 times a similar company has received tenders. A tender has been given at the Ministry of Internal Affairs to a company from Albania at 15m euros, a secret tender, at the time that there are a lot of the same companies that perform these services in Kosovo. They gave it to a company with a criminal precipice. The 209m-euro contracts constitute one of the biggest corrupt scandals in the country. This relative is clear evidence that within Albin Kurti's government or massive corruption, this does not mean that others before him did not, but here are 209 million euros”, Obadiah concluded.
