According to this report, for the two indictees, the judges found there is still a danger that they would prevent the progress of the process and perform other criminal acts against those considered opponents of the Kosovo Liberation Army, including witnesses who have given or may testify in the trial.

Thaci and Wessel, along with Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi, are charged on the basis of individual criminal responsibility on six counts of crimes against humanity -- persecution, imprisonment, other inhumane acts, torture, unlawful murder and forced disappearance of persons.
The initial act against the four indictees was confirmed in 26.10,2020 and has undergone several changes in the years that have followed. The Act currently in effect was handed over in 27,02,2023.
Also against them are claims of war crimes: arrest and illegal and arbitrary detention, cruel treatment, torture and unlawful murder.

The trial began in 03.04,2023 with the opening statements of the Specialised Prosecutor and the representative of the victims, followed by defence teams at 04 and 05.04,2023.
