Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq said Belgrade “has no sanctions against itself” against pressure, speaking of why it has not imposed sanctions on Russia, as the rest democratic part of the world.
Vuciq referred to the Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalnyt's death in prison, calling this a “another spark in the fuel fire”.
It's tragic when such a young man loses his life. I'm not an investigative body and I'm not as smart as anyone in the world knows everything. I wouldn't even like to talk about what happened with Milosevic, that's for political analysts, not the president of the country”, Vuciq said.
“Anything we don't like, we reject without reservation”, he stressed.
Vuciq also has no doubts that Serbia's position will be even more difficult to continue.
He stressed that Serbia has no sanctions against itself, “irrespective of” efforts.
However many things are not in our favor and Kosovo has not been recognised, Serbia has no sanctions against itself. And we didn't even impose sanctions on Russia. If I were to decide, I would be the champion of democracy, winner of dozens of awards, and with recognition of Kosovo I would also receive the Nobel” award, Vuciq said, as Danas reports.
