Von der Leyen expresses happiness in raising financial base for Western Balkan countries

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said today, speaking of revising the multi-year financial framework for which EU leaders recently agreed at the European Council summit, that it is “very happy” that the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans is now above “strong financial bases”.

Now we have the means to engage even more with countries in the southern neighbourhood. I am so glad that the Western Balkans Growth Plan is now on a solid financial basis,” she said.
