Ukrainian MP Olexiy Goncharenko has ordered the state of Kosovo to arm as much as possible.
This, since nobody according to him defends Kosovo in case of need.
My Council is very simple that Kosovo is willing to defend itself. Because nobody in the world will protect you but themselves. This is the lesson learned from us in Ukraine. And only if you want to endure as you showed when you fought for your independence, then the allies of other countries may come to help you. But first of all, you must be ready. My advice to Serbia is very easy. I have to treat myself like Germany before the union. When Germany was the emperor, it was a constant nightmare for all neighbors and Germans themselves. Millions of Germans died for nothing. This is reality. And after Germany, after the end of World War II through deimperisation, became a normal country without any imperial ideas, then Germany became a magnificent, prosperous, beautiful, respected country all over the world. The same with Russia and Serbia. If they want to become normal places, they have to stop becoming empires and get away from that way of thinking. This is my advice to Serbia and to live in peace with your neighbours. And in this case, I'm sure Serbia also has a bright future. Otherwise, it will be a constant bloodshed. ”, he said in an interview on A2 CNN.
Ukrainian MP said Russia had a role in Banjska's attack last September in Kosovo.
“I am sure Russia has participated in its preparation. At least Russia was happy it happened.”, he said.
Gonacherko believes Ukraine will recognise Kosovo's independence after the war.
I think, unfortunately, that Ukrainians and Kosovars have a lot in common. We've experienced genocide. We are fighting for our independence. That's why I really believe that Kosovo deserves recognition. Therefore, I support Kosovo and we will support Kosovo on its path to the Council of Europe and then to the future towards the European Union. And yes, I sponsored the bill in the Ukrainian Parliament for recognition of Kosovo. At the moment it has not been adopted and I don't think it will be approved during the war, but perhaps during this summit in Albania, it will be something to be discussed with our president. But it seems that there is a time when Ukrainians are living a situation when rockets are on their heads, it is hard enough for them to understand the urgency of their decision. But I am sure that after the end of the war, Ukraine will recognise Kosovo independent states and build more co-operation with this country”.
