In the 24-hour report of the Kosovo Police, it becomes known that the event occurred around 15:35 at the Brezovica Skiing Centre.
In addition, it is known that her husband (British states) with whom they were skiing is allegedly caught in the snow avalanche.
“Skiing Centre, Brezovica 13,02,2024 é 15:35. An American national female has been found by search-free rescue teams at the place called Eagle's nest. The victim, according to her husband (British states) with whom they were skiing, is suspected of being caught by the snow avalanche”, says the report.
Meanwhile, at the prosecutor's decision, the victim's lifeless body was sent to the IML for production.
Otherwise, numerous specialised teams were mobilized for the rescue of the American tourist, but unfortunately, the American citizen did not survive his wounds.
Danny Hamel from the Kosovo Mountain Peace Research Service in a media address Tuesday said that around 15:20 we have received a call for help from Brezovica Ski Patrol for an avalanche accident.
“Time has been misty and visibility has been very low. It's been very difficult to locate the crash site. After a few attempts, we have found that the accident took place at the site called Eagle Country. After a brief search has been located the body, but unfortunately due to trauma from the avalanche, a foreign citizen has passed”, Hamel has declared.
Be careful to move because a very small move outside the ski path can be dangerous for your life. So just move along the ski trails. The sites are safe and Brezotovza is also safe”, the member of the Kosovo Mountain-Peace Research Service has added further. /Telegraph
