Tirana under high security measures to host Zelensky

The summit for Ukraine and the Western Balkans where Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will be present under high security measures.

He will visit Albania for the first time, on February 28th-29th, when the summit will also be held.

Implementation of the plan for the management of order and security by the State Police will begin as of February 27th, after Zelensky arrives in Rinas on the 27th evening of February.

In total, more than 1,000 and 500 police forces will be committed to improving order and summit safety.

One thousand and 500 police forces, including Antiterrorism, Guard, FNSH, RENEA, effective crime and order, but also Tirana's Road Police will be positioned on the ground for the summit's prosperity.

The Guardian and SHISH will have numerous agents to observe in addition to the ground and social networks, if there are calls for instability.

Meanwhile, all photos of persons suspected of having extremist tendencies have been sent to all border points to our country.

Police will also have anti-explosive groups monitoring major roads and monitoring the entire security perimeter.

State police have taken a set of detailed security measures for Zelensky, starting at the Rinas airport, escorting Tirana to countries where meetings, accommodation and association will be held towards Rinas at the end of the visit.

One of the steps of the detailed plan consists of ensuring the Ukrainian president's passageway, which will arrive in Tirana on the evening of February 27th.

Police will block several segments of the road, as well as partial jams of several other segments, depending on the meetings and activities that will take place during these two days, in Tirana.

The measures taken are in co-operation with other law enforcement agencies, both within and outside the country, with the aim of ensuring order and public safety, as well as for the welfare of the Samits.

For security reasons and to ensure the prosperity of this summit, there will be blockades and deviations of some of the capital's internal and urban axiss.
