Stano calls “recipient” reporting Serbia's media that Borrell is planning to visit Kosovo

European Union spokesman Peter Stano has rejected reports that EU High Representative Josep Borrell was scheduled to come to Kosovo on February 26th.

Serbian-language media “Cosovo Online”, which is financed by the Government of Serbia, reported this news, calling at a “diplomatic source in Pristina”.

Stano, in an answer to the Express Journal, said Borrell had it planned long ago that meetings held at the Security Conference in Munich, Germany.

This is absolutely insane. HRVP [Borell] had planned totally different visits/activities for these dates far before any meeting in Munich”.

Borrell, along with Special EU Emissar Miroslav Lajcak, had met Prime Minister Albin Kurti under the Munich Conference on 16 February. The discussion had the dialogue process and the normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia.

“in light of continued violations from Serbia, terrorist and paramilitary attacks in Banjsk towards the territorial integrity of Kosovo and national security, letters and public statements for non-recognition of the agreement for Serbia and for failing to implement the full implementation of the Bazic Agreement reached in Brussels and its Annex in Ohrid, signing agreements has become necessary as a guarantee of respect and full implementation, towards the full normal normal normalisation of relations between the two countries”, Kurti said after the meeting, as the prime minister's office announced.

For the topic of dialogue, Borrell has also met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq in the margins of this conference. But there was a trilateral encounter.

According to Serbian-language media report Borell after Kosovo, it would travel to Serbia on February 28th.
