Today, the UN Security Council's extraordinary session, called by Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq, is expected to be held by the director of the Office for Kosovo, Petar Petkov, where the topic of discussion will be the situation in Kosovo. The newspaper Insider has learned from sources that part of this meeting will be UNMIK chief in Kosovo Caroline Zijadeh.
Recently in an interview for Serbian media, Serbia's Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic said the Kosovo Central Bank's decision to remove the dinar is one of the decisions aimed at forcing Serbs to decide to leave Kosovo peacefully.
“There is an entire argument about what happened, what is being violated, what terror is being done against Serbs, and what is the ultimate goal, which is to expel Serbs from Kosovo, so that they themselves decide to leave peacefully”, the chief of Serbian diplomacy said.
On the other hand, Dacic said it is a shame for the international community to invite Pristina after 11 years to form the Association of Serb majority municipalities.
It's a joke, they should be ashamed, the international community, those who signed the agreement in Brussels that we wouldn't have signed if they weren't guaranteed and now we should ask Kurt to form association. Imagine, we have come as far as Paris, Berlin, Washington is begging Kurt to form the Community. As far as we've reached or anyone thinks we're really stupid“, Dachic says.
He also spoke of the terrorist attack by Serbs in Banjska.
What were they doing there? Imagine if President Vuchitch or I were to go sit down with these Banjska people. The international community is upset why this is taking so long and how a small Serbia has been struggling and has succeeded since 2008 to keep Kosovo from achieving independence. Here we are fighting and will not recognise Kosovo, we are fighting on three fronts“, he said.
