Ukraine's military said Thursday that Russian troops carried out night-night attacks with fears and rockets.
Ukrainian Air Force said they destroyed 8 out of 10 drones. They were interviewed in the Poltawa regions, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporizhja and Kharkiv.
Russia's attack on Ukraine began on February 24th 2022 and on the eve of 2nd anniversary of aggression, leaders of G7 countries will hold a virtual meeting to discuss the support of the more industrialised countries for Ukraine.
White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre told the newspapers that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will participate in the discussions and that leaders will discuss “over possible steps that can be taken jointly to hold Russia accountable”.
The Together States is expected to publicise another package of sanctions against Russia on Friday, both due to the attack on Ukraine and the death of Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny in prison.
U.S. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller told reporters Wednesday that sanctions will be strong, but without providing more details.
The European Union agreed Wednesday on the 13th bloc of its sanctions against Russia. The new package will include nearly 200 subjects and individuals who are prohibited from doing business with companies in the European Union, as well as being barred from entering the bloc's countries.
With this package, we are taking more action against the subjects involved in bypassing sanctions and in the defence and military sector”, European Union Foreign Policy chief Josep Borrell wrote.
Sanctions also target Chinese companies that enable military technology for Russia. / VOA/
