Ekaterina Trendafilova, chairman of Kosovo's Specialised Chambers, has shown that over 100 witnesses have testified safely before the court so far.

It has also stated that what is known as the Special Court has never been the target of pressure exerted by politicians.

In an interview for Kosovo-online, Trendafilova was also asked about claims by former Swiss Senator Dick Marty (who died weeks ago) and his report on “Yellow House.

She has replied if any charges could be filed under that report.

Kosovo's “Specialised Chambers have jurisdiction over crimes against humanity, war crimes and other crimes under Kosovo law that allegedly took place between January 1st 1998 and December 31st 2000, which were committed or initiated in Kosovo, where the author or victim are from Kosovo or the former Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. In addition, crimes should be linked to the 2011 Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly Report”, Trendafilova has declared.

It is important that this report not only addressed accusations concerning the Yellow House, but it outlined a series of serious accusations, including lack of functioning accountability and mechanisms that can address these claims in an independent and secure environment. When it comes to whether there might be more indictment or which specific crimes will be charged in any future indictment, it's not up to me to say. Specialised rooms and specialised Prosecution are two separate institutions. It is the special prosecutor who, based on evidence collected as a result of her investigation, decides who will sue and what crimes”.
