The proposal for cancelling a decision to exchange a municipal property in “The New Pristina with a private property in Badoc will be in order of the day.
The session was called Sunday by the Democratic Party of Kosovo and the Vetevendosje Movement, which Sunday gathered the necessary signatures.
Pristina's Constitutional Court has recently approved the Kosovo Institute for Justice's request to postpone the execution of Pristina's Municipal Assembly decision to exchange municipal property in “New Pristina with private property in Badoc.
A land in Badoc, where construction of a neighbourhood was planned, has been decided by Pristina's Municipal Assembly to exchange for nearly triple larger property in the New Pristina area.
Vetevendosje Movement assemblies had helped make the quorum when the decision for exchange was made in December last year.
Pristina Chairman Progress Rama insists that the property exchange process, which he says started in past governance, is legitimate. He says the Finance Ministry has praised the land before he came to the mayor's chair and, according to him, property in Badoc with 8m euros, while the municipality with 3m euros. While Finance Minister Hekuran Murati says the decision belongs to Komuna and the municipality should be asked.
