Polish Defence Minister Wladysław Kosinaj-Kamisz, has said Poland is ready to defend against Russian military aggression in “all scenarios”.
Kosinaj-Kamisz, who also serves as Poland's deputy prime minister, has added that Moscow could attack Poland “as the enmity with Russia escalated”, wrote “Newsek”.
I think all scenarios are possible and I take very seriously the worst... This is the role of a defence minister under our current circumstances... We must be prepared for anything”, he added.
The Polish minister has been pointing forward that they are dealing with the fulfilment of gaps including weapons.
“Major efforts for procurement [the weapons] are important, but soldiers' personal equipment is also important”, he said.
Kosinak -Kamisz is not the only senior defence official from a NATO country who has recently voiced concerns about Russia's war with Ukraine.
Even General Gheorghi Vlad, Romania's defence chief, has warned last week that Russian President Vladimir Putin's wartime “policy would escalate in the near future”.
Last month, German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius has declared that a possible attack on NATO could take place five or eight years next.
The Dutch Admiral, Rob Bauer, has also indicated that the Alliance is preparing for a conflict with Russia.
