Police in Albania have seized 46kg of explosives coming from Kosovo and have arrested three young men from Gjilan.
Tirana Police Director Tony Vocaj said a criminal group from Kosovo has conducted arms and explosives trafficking from Kosovo in Albania.
“During a police operation, on February 4th near the Jolla Bridge at Fushe Kruja, there was an arrest on the banner of Kosovo citizens: Ringon Maliqi, 20, Leon Pir, 25, and Shkelm Halabaku, 27, the three residents in Gjilan”, announced Vocaj.
During this operation, he said, 203 blocks of suspected explosives were seized. Voca said this amount of explosives was suspected of being used by various criminal groups on the territory of the Republic of Albania.
The images published by State Police showed that the molds of the explosives were hidden in fruit juice boxes.
Police also seized 3 mobile phones and 1 vehicles.
Earlier, two operations have also been conducted and two people have been arrested and four firearms seized, along with brushes and combat ammunition, which have been trafficked from Kosovo to Albania.
