On Thursday next, the Kosovo Assembly will meet for a plenary session, while the opposition will attempt to form two heaviest commissions. One is about the salary of Guni Jakup and the other about the disappearance of Astrit Dehar samples, reports Online Economics.
Thus has PDK Parliamentary Group chief Abelard Tahiri announced after the Assembly of the Parliamentary Headship.
Proposal on forming commissions, Tahiri said it did. The PDK, with which it expects support from other parties.
“Today we discussed the next session to be held on Thursday and its agenda as the Parliamentary Group. We have proposed to the PDK the establishment of two investigative commissions. One for parliamentary investigation into the MPJD as we have had enough facts for the degradation of diplomatic service, as well as the media have discovered a series of contracts for people engaged with huge sums that occurred earlier as the case of Gani Jakupi, whose salary exceeds every limit and standard in Kosovo. We have other cases for people who are employed as Gunny Jakupi. The other issue is the question of the investigative commission about the disappearance of Astrost Dehari samples in the IML, and as a parliamentary group, we have twice denounced the arson at the Institute of Legal Medicine”, he said.
He has said that how the PDK has not yet changed its stance on international agreements, and warned that it will not vote on them.
International agreements are established within this session. So far nothing has changed for the PDK to vote on them. If anything changes, you'll be notified. Our country is deepening the most international crisis”, he has said.
Tahiri for the CEC decision: There should be better co-ordination with the US
While asking about the Kosovo Central Bank's decision to waive Serbian dinar currency, he said it should focus not only on the dinar, but on better co-ordination with the United States, since, according to Tahiri, with the coming of the current government in power, that approach has broken.
We can't just limit ourselves to the dinar issue in this case, I think we should see a more complete picture, because for the first time with this government, the approach of co-ordination with our allies has also changed with the United States of America. We both extend sovereignty to the north and the integration of institutions and the holding of fair elections and the resolution of the heads of legitimate municipalities from Serbian citizens who took place for the first time in 2017 have made it precisely in close co-ordination with the United States. What I think had to happen is just a co-ordination and a better engagement with the United States of America in this process” has ended Tahiri.
