Osmani: Ambassador Abbott backed many important causes for Kosovo society

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has hosted a farewell meeting of United Kingdom Ambassador to Kosovo Nicholas Abbott.

She thanked the British diplomat for the co-operation and continued contribution to deepening relations between the two states.

Osmani praised the personal commitment of Abbott, who in addition to the role in promoting mutual relations, also supported many important causes for Kosovo society.

“Ambassador Abbott, for us you are more than a diplomatic representative. You are a true friend of Kosovo, a precious associate and a firm supporter of our aspirations for a free, open and fair society. Your continued support for human rights, peace and integration of Kosovo into the Euro-Atlantic family, as well as its overall international empowerment shows your dedication to Kosovo”, the Ottoman president has indicated.

The first of the state of Kosovo has wished him success in further commitments, considering a Kosovo friend who will always be welcome in our state.

“At the meeting, the readiness of the two co-ordinators was expressed for Kosovo and the United Kingdom to continue co-operation in various fields, including security issues, economic development, education, culture and reinforcement of human ties between citizens of the two states”, the President's Office announced.
