Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has already arrived in Tirana, where the summit for Ukraine will be held.
She has been hosted by Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and Ukraine's president, Volodymyr Zelensky.
Before the media, Osmani said Kosovo supports Ukraine and its people.
Russia is doing illegal invasion of Ukraine, and we have rejected it by imposing sanctions on Russia and supporting Ukraine, we will do so from now on. Today at Sam I will talk about the concrete steps Kosovo is taking in this direction together with the allies and will be here until Ukraine's” victory, Osmani said.
Asked by reporters whether to ask the Ukrainian president for recognition of Kosovo, the president said she would come along with Ukraine's victory.
We have always made such a request and we will continue to do it with full understanding that Ukraine is in a state of war, struggling for its freedom. I am convinced that the moment will come along with the victory of Ukraine”, Osmani said.
