Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has said that Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq is not signing the Brussels Agreement, in order to leave open an opportunity to return to Kosovo. He has called for the agreement to be signed urgently.
In the panel of discussion on security challenges for the Western Balkans, organised by the Chatham House Institute on Monday, Kurti has added that the European Union must carefully review the democratic reform of Western Balkan countries so that, according to him, the risk can be lifted from any possible tension.
“The signing of the agreement between Kosovo and Serbia is more urgent than ever. The agreement we have is complete, since we need a bonafide agreement to have its legitimacy and application. By not signing it, Vucinqi will keep Kosovo's occupation option open. I can see another basic sense of this denial of signature, besides, they want to keep this door open so that they can have other windows to turn around and repeat aggression”, Kurti said./Time/
