Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has once again spoken of criticism of him following the Kosovo Central Bank's decision banning dinars payments, saying the same began only after Serbian President Alexander Vuciq's words. These statements, he made a week ago in an interview with journalist Andrew. Mueller for the radio “Monicle”, which was published on Saturday.
From the start, the journalist has started the interview with a question that followed with laughter. In fact, if the same was irony:
“Nisa interview asking Prime Minister Kurti what the Munich Security Conference looks like and if asked constantly to try to avoid causing more problems for everyone?
“Sometimes...” Kurt's answering.
I've only started with meetings here, but of course, the Balkans are always interesting, we're trying not to make this “very interesting”, security is the main word when it comes to Kosovo because we have trouble with our northern neighbour that doesn't yet recognise us. ” He said.
Kurti has also talked about statements by several Serbian officials, who he says are constantly saying “is not the first time Kosovo was lost in 1999, it happened in the past, and it has been recaptured”.
On the other hand, the Kosovo government chief has been asked about the dinar decision. The journalist has asked if this really matters.
Speaking of the issue over which he has received much criticism recently, Kurti has said he was unaware of drafting such a regulation.
In addition, Kurti has indicated that criticisms against him have only been initiated after statements by Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq, who had said that he was. “from February 1st, disaster will occur in Kosovo”.
“The CEC in December made a decision on a new regulation and did well. I had no idea they'd make that decision or make this regulation. Everything was going well with the preparations. In mid-January, just because preparations were going well, Vuciq alarmed the region and Europe that the disaster would occur on February 1st that the dinar would be banned, then pressure began on me, not initially, only when Vuciq spoke. ” Kurt said, broadcast Nacional.
Kurti further explained that Serbian citizens can carry dinars, but not pay with it.
According to him, no country government since declaring independence has done more to help Serbs.
Minister Nenad Rassic has done much more than his predecessors. We have opened the Balkan department at the Faculty of Philology, so new generations of Albanians teach Serbian, Bosnian, Croatian.
I'm from the last generation that can speak Serbian, we need other generations that speak Serbian and Serbian, because I believe in multiculturalism through human communication. ” He said.
The chief of executives said they are receiving criticism as they are successful, “not that they are failing to integrate Serbs”.
In the end, Kurti has also been asked about the agreements reached in February and March of last year. He has mentioned that the letter of Anna Brnabyq, the Serbian prime minister, should be withdrawn, where Serbia turns away from their respect.
So, from this de facto recognition they're attracted to and what we need is for Mrs. Brnabyq to pull this letter... but I insist that signing the basic agreement and implementation annex is necessary. ” He said.
