Kurti said Kosovo has labour power, citing the average population age.
In the past three years, Kurti said exports and foreign direct investment have doubled, but added that such investments are still needed.
He also cited professional education, saying the project has started in 14 municipalities.
In the end, Prime Minister Kurti said the diaspora is bringing only remittances, but also the work ethic and knowledge they have.
We've had economic development, democratic progress and institutional stability, which has helped us greatly to fight security risks and also address climate change and social inequality... We also have progress in the rule of law and progress in political rights, civil rights and electoral democracy. This places Kosovo in a favourable situation on the global map and is at the heart of the link between Europe, Africa and the Middle East. We have a workforce, the average age of Kosovo is 31 and we have an open market economy that creates a good environment for business. We are well-placed for technological investments, from 23 European countries, Kosovo comes up with 11th in a ranking, leaving all EU membership candidates and an EU member behind. In these three years we've doubled both exports and foreign FDI direct investments, we need more of these but we're in a good place because we're having these investments, we still need investments of this kind. We are dedicated to the rule of law and fighting corruption in line with America and England, both in political and business values, especially after Russian aggression in Ukraine that has already been two years old. And an extra element that we've worked hard for is to connect the job market with professional education in order to have more skilled people, with every degree given in our schools being offered a job. We started this project in 14 municipalities, 21 schools, 12 different profiles, and we learned this from our powerful diaspora, especially in Germany and Switzerland, which are taking us not only remittances but also the work ethic and knowledge that they have”, Kurti said.
