Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has insisted that the Serbian dinar has not been banned in Kosovo.

Serbia's “Dinari has not been banned in Kosovo. They may have dinars. You can keep dinars, but the euro is the only currency as a means of payment. In the past century, prior to our liberation, we had the dinar as a means of payment. We were under occupation. In the 20th century, we first had the German mark, then the euro. The euro alone is a payment tool and we've given many subsidies, social assistance, grant grants for education and health care in Serb majority municipalities and, believe me, they all take the euro. No problem. ”
There is no single case when a Serbian citizen said that we do not want this money because it is in euro currency. In our neighbouring country, in Montenegro, more than a quarter of the population declares themselves Serbian. They have the euro currency. Common Serbs are not haters of the euro. ”
