The Investment Summit in the Western Balkans 2024 will be held today at the EURZH headquarters in London. The six leaders of governments from the region who have confirmed participation in the event will participate.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti, together with Finance, Labour and Transfers Minister Iron Murati, will participate in the 2024 Balkans Investment Summit.
“It, along with Finance, Labour and Transfers Minister Iron Murati, will participate in the 2024 Western Balkans Investment Summit organised by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development”, the prime minister's Office announced.
The goal of the summit is to highlight potential investment and business opportunities in the Western Balkans region and promote regional and cross-border projects. This is the sixth EURZH summit of its kind; The inaugural summit of the Western Balkans took place in the EURZH ten years ago, in February 2014 and, for the first time, brought together all prime ministers of the region.
The Western Balkans is a priority region for the EBRD. Today, the EBRD remains one of the largest institutional investors in the countries of the region, with more than 18 billion euros invested so far.
The main traditional starting point of the summit -- “The session of interactive prime ministers” -- will see that regional leaders and the president of the EURZH address the audience with their overall vision for the region, key regional projects and investment opportunities at regional level and in each of the countries of the region, including Kosovo, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia and Serbia.
