Today, a protest has been held by Serbian citizens in northern Mitrovica, expressing disappointment over the central bank regulator that has entered into force on February 1st, which as the only payment currency recognises the euro.
This protest was monitored by KFOR, by the Multinational Specialised Unit respectively.
NATO's peacekeeping forces in Kosovo deemed it peaceful.
“KFOR continues to operate as the third security reacter, behind the Kosovo Police and the EU Law Rule Mission (EULEX), with which we regularly co-ordinate”, says the report.
KFOR risks that it is “fully focused on daily implementation of its mandate, to provide a safe environment for all communities living in Kosovo and for freedom of movement”.
