KFOR has announced that this is the result of the stabilised situation in the municipality of Zvecan.
The situation in the Zvecan municipality has stabilised. As a result, units from the NATO-led KFOR Mission Operational Reserve Battalion will no longer be present in the municipality building. Instead, they will stay in the area and conduct regular patrols to ensure a safe and secure environment for all people living in the Zvecan municipality. ”
“KFOR continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 in 1999 to provide a secure environment for all communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement at any time and impartially. KFOR is the third security reacter, behind the Kosovo Police and the EU Law Rule Mission (EULEX), with which we work in close co-ordination. ”
