KFOR: We continue to provide secure environment for Kosovo citizens

The report reportedly shared views with Ambassador De Riu on Italy's latest security trends and welcomed Italy's long-standing contribution to KFOR and regional stability.
“KFOR continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 in 1999 to provide a secure environment for all communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement at any time and impartially. KFOR is the third security reacter, behind the Kosovo Police and the EU Mission for Rule of Law (EULEX), with which we work in close co-ordination” respectively, he has said.
NATO consistently supported dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, and following the September 24th attack on Zvecan Banjska.
Because of the tense situation after the attack on Banjska, NATO made the decision to increase its military presence under the KFOR mission.
This mission is the third security reacter in Kosovo, after the Kosovo Police and the EU's mission for Sundim Law (EULEX)
