The handover of the NATO flag took place between the outgoing commander, Colonel Kenneth Walker, and Colonel Jason Baker, the next commander, has announced KFOR through a communique.
Commander Oezkan Ulutash has expressed his appreciation for Colonel Walker's services and leadership.
Your integration, co-operation and co-ordination with all counterparts in the area of responsibility have been extraordinary to support KFOR's broad efforts towards sustainable security”, he has said.
KFOR commander congratulated Colonel Baker on a successful mandate, stressing confidence in the ability of the new US “personnel to continue making Regional East Command a key pillar of KFOR mission throughout Kosovo”.
Civil and military authorities, including Ambassador to the United States of America to Kosovo Jeffrey Havenier, attended.
