The only Albanian MP in Serbia's Parliament, Shaip Kamberi, has spoken of discrimination among Albanians in the Presevo Valley.
Kamberi has said that Albanians in the Valley make up most of the population, but that only 17 percent of them have positions in local state institutions.
“In the Presevo Valley, Albanians make up 71% of the population, but have only 17% of representation in local state institutions”, he wrote.
Otherwise, the government of Serbia has recently reduced by over 1 million dinars the budget for the Albanian National Council in the Presevo Valley for 2024.
