Members of the Forum for Information Integrity have expressed concern and are condemning the Commission's intervention in Public Administration, Local Powers, Media and Regional Development in the independence of the Independent Media Commission in decision-making, guaranteed with the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo.
” The organising of supervisory hearings with the aim of analyzing, discussing and contesting the decisions of KPM members has taken on investigative character and discipline”, is highlighted in their response,
”Gjuha threat and lynching, such as charges against national treason and corruption, are unacceptable because they endanger their physical safety and professional integrity, as well as do not comply with parliamentary language”.
” We ask the Parliamentary Commission for Media to immediately terminate this practice of violating the independence of the work of KPM members, initially canceling the hearing of the next overseer on this issue”.
” We encourage the Parliamentary Commission for Media to exercise the supervisory function of the Independent Media Commission by respecting its independence in decision making”.
