Hundreds of members of the Kosovo Security Force, of all ranks, have filed individual indictments against the Kosovo government.

According to the indictments, KSF soldiers are suing the government because it has illegally banned the additions in salaries and other compensations.

These rights belonged to Rule “For the salaries, extensions on the Page, and other compensations at Kosovo's Ministry of Defence and Security Force for salary raising at KSF”, issued by the Government of Kosovo on January 22, 2020, number “02/20”.

But that regulation was never implemented, and KSF members have so far received no margin in wages they have met according to it, but no jubilee salaries.

On the other hand, the current government by July 28, 2021, had issued a decision with a figure “10/21”, with which it suspended regulation “02/20”.

Now KSF members have begun to seek the realisation of their rights, which they meet through legal and judicial routes, suing the Government of the Republic of Kosovo for those rights they are entitled to achieve for the difference in salaries and jubilee salaries.

The AP has secured several indictments by hundreds of similar ones.

Because of fear of consequences and revenge for them, it has been decided to hide basic data.

According to one of the indictments, the plaintiff is “An expert with 11 years of recorded work experience”.

He sues Kosovo Government after “The unknown since the regulation's entry has not made an increase in professional salary and jubilial reward.”.

KSF shareholder indictment

As the indictment confirms, the <x0pati counter backs the indictment on the legal basis of the Kosovo Security Force Service Law, in which it is determined that pay rights, additions on wages and other types of compensation are all of KSF members and that salaries, additions on pay and other compensation, are determined and paid in line with provisions defined with legislation in power, with separate provisions issued by the government”.

Lawyer Naim Rudari, who already has dozens of KSF soldiers as clients for this case, has shown that “I have contacts every day and every member of the The KSF is interested in presuming lawsuit”.

We have about 40 in the process, but every day we are contacted for new cases”, Rudari told the Albanian Post.

“I believe everyone will file a lawsuit”, added.

In fact, some who have filed earlier cases have already already been admitted and have court justice in the first instance.

Rudari added that in his lawyer's office “we have as many days as we're in constant contact”.

If KSF soldiers win cases in court, as expected, the Government of Kosovo will be obliged to pay the sums' differences and jubilee rewards for as many years as the plaintiffs have experience.

Part Two of the lawsuit

In the case of the indictment provided by Albanian Post, it's about “10 years of work experience, the total amount, all of it with legal interest from the date of preamble of the indictment, to the definitive payment, as well as the expenses of the controversial procedure” and other expenses.

Albanian Post has long reported on major discontent at the KSF, which has also led to the departure of large numbers of members from the army.

In 2022 alone, due to the “nepotism of small wages”, 127 soldiers had left, for a small army like this one of Kosovo, was considered an alarming number.

The AP had also reported another scandal within the KSF when it was understood that hundreds of members had applied for working visas in Germany.

What he understood The AP, was referring to about 800 Kosovo soldiers who had applied for working visas.

The figure was never exposed by the ministry, or by Kosovo prime minister.
