An elderly man who has had respiratory problems as a result of the fire that broke out Monday evening at the House of the Foreign Ministers in Pristina is still being addressed at the University Clinical Centre in Kosovo (QKUK).
While the other 56 residents of this house have moved from there and are still staying at a hotel in Pristina.
Part of the second floor of the House of the Non-Afflicted in Pristina has been burned.
Material damage caused by fire is expected to be repaired but not yet known when the elderly will be able to return.
According to director Raze Alikaj, the first doubts are that fire is caused after an elderly man has left a cigarette lit.
Alikaj has declared that the state of health of the elderly is good until he said that material damage will be fixed.
We've had no injuries, no worse cases. We sent the residents to a nearby hotel in Pristina, their situation is good ... To maintain their health, they have been evacuated, today they have immediately started works, cleaning and the public housing company, I believe the state of the facility is fixed quickly, and residents return to their home and to their”, Aliqkaj stated.
Meanwhile, Pristina municipality spokesman Donat Lushaku has stressed that the object will be disinfected and painted, and then elderly people will return.
The 57 elderly are currently located at a hotel in Pristina until the situation is adjusted and then returned to the elderly. There's material damage, a considerable portion of the objects there are, while human damage does not, residents are in good shape, except one case that is being dealt with at QKUKU. 05:00 Intervention will be done in the sense of disinfecting, cleaning and painting that part, and then police and fire experts will decide when they return the same, we'll alert Lusshak.
The KP has tried to learn more about the state of health of the elderly found at QKUK, but they have not responded.
