The House of Elders in Pristina last night was involved in fire. There were no injuries in the fire explosion fortunately.

Police spokeswoman for the Pristina region, Flora Ahmeti, has said some people have sought medical help due to the difficulty of breathing from smoke.

We received information about a fire incident on the “Africa Loja” street in Pristina, exactly at the home of the elders. Firemen and police who are handling the case are on the scene. The fire is located and based on information thus far, reported on persons who have sought help because of the difficulty of breathing from the smoke”, Ahmeti said.

Following the fire incident, which took place at the House of the Non-Afflicted, the chairman of the Pristina municipality, Rama, along with Deputy Mayor Jehona Lushaku and the relevant team of directors, visited the site and events.

According to the municipality's announcement, after consultations with the medical emergency team, firefighters and security and emergency team, the decision was made for the elderly on security issues until the facility is cleared, to be moved to the hotel.
