US Ambassador Jeff Hovenier, after a meeting he had with Prime Minister Albin Kurti in Government, said they are concerned about the new BEC regulation that went into effect today and that they have reservations about implementing it ahead of full preparation.
He also cited the impact this regulation will have on the impact of the daily life of Serbian citizens.
We think this issue deserves more consideration and also discussions at the dialogue table. Our concerns are that there may be ethnic tensions”, Houvenier told reporters.
