Each time and again, Germany's residents are working until the age of 67, some government data has shown.
Standard retirement age for those born after 1964 is 67-year-old.
Early retirement can be implemented by the age of 63 with reduced benefits.
Official data shows that the number of people in group 63 years and 67, still working, has increased significantly from 1.31 million to 1.67 million last year.
In 2022, 1.52 million people in this age group have still been retired.
This data has been made public after the pension debate, set up by the left-wing Linke party.
The debate is current because of the increasing number of people in retirement and lack of workers on the other side.
Some labour unions and left-wing politicians are rejecting the increase in retirement age to 70.
