France's Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs has called for immediate suspension of the Kosovo Central Bank's decision to remove the Serbian dinar from the Kosovo market.
Paris requires that more time be made sure of this decision that has entered into force on February 1st.
“Finance expresses concern over the entry into force of the Kosovo Central Bank decision authorising only the euro for cash transactions on Kosovo territory. In the absence of alternative solutions to date, France requires the immediate suspension of this move to ensure a sufficient transition period of”, it is said in position.
According to them, this decision has been rushed and say there will be consequences in the daily life of the Serb community living in Kosovo.
