This reform has been proposed by the European Commission and must be adopted in the middle of the year.
Current laws say that in most EU countries, the removal of the license applies only to the country where the measure is imposed and there are no consequences in the rest of the Union.
European MPs also stated that driving the vehicle without a driver's license should become part of “serious road violations”, and the list already includes the direction of the drunk vehicle and the causing of a death accident.
Also, The EP demanded that serious wrongdoing list increase driving by 50km/h faster than allowed speed and 30km/h in residential areas.
According to data provided by Brussels, 20600 people died on EU roads during 2022.
