Escobar: dinar issue must be resolved through EU dialogue

US Emisar for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, has said the Kosovo Central Bank regulation that excludes the dinar from use should be resolved at the dialogue table in Brussels.

Escobar said this new decision should be communicated to citizens affected by this decision for a great time and said the US is ready to help both countries.

I believe we were very clear on this. It must be resolved through EU facilitated dialogue and should also be communicated with sufficient time and sufficient announcements to the affected population. And we stand ready to help both countries resolve this issue, but both [the countries] must return to dialogue and respect existing agreements”, Escobar said.

He made that statement for Tanjug in a reception with Serbia's Statehood Day case.
