Serbia has applied for calling an extraordinary session of the UN Security Council.
As Serbian media report, Serbia's ambassador to the UN mission, Nemanja Stevanovic, has submitted the Republic of Serbia's call for an extraordinary session of the UN Security Council “because of the situation in Kosovo”.
Call of a session for developments has warned President Serbia on Friday due to the new BECK regulation, which prohibits the use of the dinar further in Kosovo.
According to reports in Belgrade “the demand draws attention to the current situation on Kosovo's territory, which is in sharp contrast to the UN Charter and UN Security Council Resolution 1244, and stresses that such a situation requires holding a separate Security Council session. The request has been handed over to the Guyana Mission in the mission of this state, which is currently the leader of the UN Security Council.
