The dinar case, Kurti: Decision of independent institutions cannot be negotiated by politicians

The country's prime minister, Albin Kurti, concerning the CEC's decision on new regulations, which prohibits the use of dinar currency, said independent institutions cannot overlap politicians.

Such a comment the prime minister made after doing the homazhes near the memorial complex at Lower Lupch, on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of the fall of witness Elfette Humolli

Asked about the dinar currency issue, what the EU has reacted to, Prime Minister Kurti said the transitional phase has started since December last year and everything has been okay.

“Precisely successful preparations for implementing the BEC regulation have alarmed official Belgrade and they later tried to spread panic through a campaign trumpeted by the head of state there. With information that I have everything going right, but, if there's any remarks or complaints, we'll address it with the highest seriousness and at the highest speed of”, Kurti has declared.

Meanwhile, the EU's bid for the issue, Prime Minister Kurti said that the CEC is an independent institution and that independent institutions cannot over-reach politicians.

“The CEC is an independent Kosovo institution, cannot politicians over-represent independent state institutions, because we also lose the democratic republic's character for our independent country. Constitutionality, legitimacy, decision-making of independent institutions cannot be negotiated by politicians”, Kurti said.

Prime Minister Kurti was associated with members of the government cabinet and with Kosovo Assembly deputies.
