Chief Parliamentary Glauk Konjfuca, in honour of Kosovo's 16th anniversary of Independence, said the Kosovo Liberation Army is the most important emblem in the history of free and independent Kosovo.
He also reminded KLA leaders against whom the trial is continuing at The Hague by the Special Court.
Let me remember today all those Kosovo Liberation Army fighters and members of the General Staff who made the glorious, most glorious war an army can do, such as our struggle for the liberation and freedom of our people. The KLA is the most important emblem in the history of our free and independent Kosovo. I wish that on this historic day we will remember and honor the leaders of our liberation war that are unjustly unable to celebrate here with us today because they are in a process of baseless charges”.
Conjufca thanksgivinga also made mention of the legendary commander Adam Yasar and his family and other martyrs.
Kosovo's “State would not become a reality without the ideal of heroes, martyrs, martyrs, all those Kosovo could not imagine other than how free and sovereign, independent forever from Kosovo. Therefore, Kosovo's independence as synonymous with our freedom cannot be imagined without the legendary commander, Adem Jashar, and the heroic sacrifice of the Jashar family, who gave up on Kosovo for no price, making the highest sacrifice that can be imagined so that our nation can return freedom and dignity”.
He also stressed that the independence of Kosovo is the dignity that the people were granted by those who had the courage to dream of this day.
“We are proud of Kosovo's journey as a sovereign state as a free country, and as well as of a consensus democracy. Kosovo's independence is before all the dignity that our people were given from those men and women who had the courage to dream of this day even in the most difficult times, those who fought, were killed and sacrificed for the freedom and independence of Kosovo”.
