Close to four years, KLA disabled without funding for prosthetics

For nearly four years, Kosovo Liberation Army disabled people have remained without new prosthesis. All this because the executive has not shared the means to pay them. And these concerns, they were raised several times by MP. The PDK, Hisen Berisha, to whom the Online Economy talked.

Berisha says concern is also due to inadequate treatment of war veterans and disabled. The first are left out of the Minimial Page, while the last are without prosthesis.

Berisha, once commander of The KLA, tells of Online Economy its concern over its failure to enter the 2024 budget to purchase prosthetics or repair them.

Today, all those carrying prosthetics who have economic powers have managed to renew the prosthetics, otherwise others are in miserable condition”, says Berisha, while citing the case of a former fighter under severe economic conditions that he is unable to provide for the new protests. He says he's lost his two legs in the war.

He has both legs cut, has old prosthetics, but they have a plastic piece that is mounted in the place where the leg is broken, and when it stays for years it begins to soften that it is then released, filled up, and then gained flexibility and it is not stable anymore and that man is no longer safe. We've tried it on a private road. There's a high cost for the model that I've personally cared about, like, 50 thousand euros of prosthesis, so he doesn't have to live out of his disability salary, and he can't even get his friends together that everyone is in trouble, but that's not the way the government should be treated right here, and there should be laws on that subject, the laws obliging the government to take care of them to date there are no prosthesis that have been inherited from the past 1015 years with them, this government has taken nothing, Berisha stated.

For the treatment of veterans, deputy The PDK compares Kurt's government to Serbia's. He wants to take an example of how veterans are treated there.

Neither did the Government of Serbia. Our greatest enemy is the way this category is being handled. You should be treated with merit, you can see in America which is the status of the veteran they are the most highly esteemed category in the state, the president there when he wants me to make a decision calling and consulting them, maybe nothing takes their decision because he can't be the advanced opinion of at least fulfilling that moral side of treatment or respect because they are people who have sacrificed for this country and you can't make decisions on a statute for a non-companion like this prime minister claims to at least sit down without at least telling them what you think you've given the blood you've given them, Berisha says.

Berisha says they will not stop until the problem is resolved. Also mention the provisions to achieve that purpose. His concerns are also expressed about the expulsion of veterans from the Minimal Salat.

The Online economy has tried to get a response from the Government of Kosovo for reasons of blocking the equipment with prosthetics, but that the same have not returned.
