The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo reports that as the effect of the Money Operational Adjust, the number of 500-euro bills deposited by citizens in commercial banks and then in the CEC -- as money drawn from circulation -- has exceeded 180,500 units, exceeding the value of 90m and 250 thousand euros.
Through a press release, it becomes known that this is one of the direct effects of the regulation since its adoption, contributing to the goal of a financial system of integrity and helping the national strategy against information and interrelated phenomena.
“The money-determinable operating director, in addition, determined that all non-bank financial institutions are obliged to stop re-launching the 500-euro bill to their clients”.
“The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo remains committed to advancing the legal and supervisory framework in the application of its constitutional mandate and in accordance with its strategic goals, with transparency and dedication to the public”, the BEC statement is said.
