EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said the situation in Israel's occupied West Coast poses a major obstacle to finding a long-term peace solution between Israel and Palestinians.
The Western bank is the real obstacle to two-state resolution. The West Coast is on the wave... we can be on the verge of a greater explosion”, Borrell said at the Munich Security Conference, writes The Guardian.
Since the beginning of the war, the number of clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinians in the West Coast has increased.
Borrell said the EU needs to give up the Arab initiative” to create a Palestinian state, including the West Coast and the Gaza Strip.
